Welcome to the Federal Highway Administration NCHRP 1-37A (Mechanistic-Empirical) Design Guide Community of Practice website! This site is dedicated to collecting the feedback, thoughts, issues, and concerns of individuals who are evaluating and/or using the NCHRP 1-37A Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG).. The NCHRP 1-37A MEPDG was issued by NCHRP as a final research product to the State and FHWA sponsors of NCHRP and is available for download at http://www.trb.org/mepdg/. The AASHTO Joint Technical Committee on Pavements requested that NCHRP 1-40 conduct an independent and complete evaluation of the 1-37A Guide. The Joint Technical Committee also requested that FHWA collect the comments from the greater highway community as they use the MEPDG. Your feedback on the Guide is instrumental in ensuring that future changes or enhancements to the MEPDG will meet the needs and expectations of the users. NOW AVAILABLE: NCHRP has instituted a bug tracking system so that software issues can be identified and addressed in a manner that allows users to see what has been reported.
