  National Highway Visibility

The National Highway Visibility (NHV) Community of Practice (CoP) provides an external FHWA hosted website to allow discussions related to weather-related (and more specifically fog-related) highway visibility issues and opportunities, and a central website for related documents. Participants will also be able to register, as well as set their personal preferences to get a daily update on postings from the previous day. Discussions - which can include website links - can be posted by anyone. Initially, documents will have to be sent to one of the CoP facilitators for posting in the reference section. Facilitators include FHWA staff Ray Murphy (708-283-3517), Mark Chandler (608-829-7514), and Paul Pisano (202-366-1301). This community will also be used for discussion of the future National Highway Visibility Conference and to disseminate related information. Please see the associated NHV CoP Directory for e-mail addresses and organizational affiliations of participants and facilitators.
