WELCOME to the Operations Knowledge Communities - Federal Highway Administration's online "communities of practice" supporting an open exchange of knowledge, information, experience, and ideas on key highway operations topics.

In the Operations Knowledge Communities, you can easily access information and lessons learned, as well as ask questions and collaborate with other professionals in this field.

Topic Areas. The site is organized into topic areas as listed on the Communities page.

Collaboration: In each topic area, there are tabs for Discussion, Reference, and Directory. In the Discussion section, you can submit general comments, ask for help, or start a new discussion of an issue not addressed. In the Reference section, you have access to guidance and other reference information. In the Directory, you will find contact information for all identified community members with an interest in this topic area.

What's New: In the What's New area, you can scan new items from across all of the topic areas. It's an easy way to keep up to date.

e-Mail Notification: Bringing the Information to You. Fill out a profile that indicates which group areas are of interest to you. The site will automatically notify you once daily via e-mail when new items fitting your interest profile are added. The e-mail contains not only the title of the item but also an abstract of the item and a URL that links directly to the item at the site.
