The Economic and Freight Measures topic area is intended to provide a forum for practitioners that are interested in performance measurement issues specifically related to the economic impacts of transportation investment and to freight transportation. The forum is here to share knowledge, experience and research with each other. Both public and private sector perspectives are encouraged, to better understand relevant metrics currently in use and those under development. An improved set of economic and freight performance measures can advance public policy, providing a more transparent rationale for transportation investments and an improved understanding of system needs. We hope you make the most of this opportunity to share your ideas and even your failures so that we all can benefit from our collective experiences.

Facilitator for this forum: Bill Gardner, Minnesota Department of Transportation. Please send questions, concerns or suggestions to William.gardner@dot.state.mn.us
